There will be a partial suspension of sales of toll payments on New Year Day

In connection with the transfer of our Company's business division as of 1 January 2026, there will be a temporary partial suspension of sales on 31 December 2025 and 1 January 2026 due to an IT system changeover. The changeover taking several hours will affect both e-vignette and e-toll system users, as follows.

You must upload the HU-GO balance in advance!

In the HU-GO e-toll system used by vehicles with a maximum authorised total mass of over 3.5 t (goods motor vehicles, buses), it will not be possible to top up current account balances and purchase route tickets from 11.15 p.m. on 31 December 2025 until 2.15 p.m. on 1 January 2026.

For this reason it is very important that carriers top up their HU-GO balance in advance, before the technical changeover, in line with their road use planned for the first day of January.

Prior to the changeover, we will be able to accept top-ups by way of bank transfer until 4.00 p.m. on 30 December 2025. Balance top-ups initiated by way of bank transfer after the changeover will be credited to the HU-GO current account on 5 January 2026.

The toll declarations of our customers using the HU-GO e-toll system with an on-board unit will be accepted subsequently.

E-vignettes will not be available for purchase at every point of sale either.

In connection with the changeover, from 11.15 p.m. on 31 December 2025 until 7.15 a.m. on 1 January 2026, it will only be possible to buy e-vignettes at some of our resellers (at fuel stations of major fuel station networks) and online e-vignette resellers, but not at our own toll-charge.hu website or at our smaller reseller partners.

Therefore, we request our customers who plan to use the toll expressways during the indicated period in the New Year to make sure that they buy their e-vignette before the specified system changeover!

The use of toll roads is not free of charge during the changeover!

Please note that toll sections cannot be used without payment during the system changeover period. Those of our customers who wish to use the toll road network during the indicated period will need to purchase the road use authorisation (e-vignette, e-toll) in advance, before the period affected by the changeover, through our own online sales portal, at our customer service offices or at our partner resellers!
